Week 33: Smell
You may not believe me but I did not take any photos of food for this week’s challenge. Shocker, huh?
I wanted this photo to really smell. Like, when I think of smells and I picture it… that was my photo. So I started making lists of things I could smell just by thinking of them. Donuts, coffee, perfume, cinnamon, wet dog, cookies, bonfire, tar, bourbon, cookies and so forth.
Here is my smell:
Did you just inhale the chemical stink of nail polish? It smells. Bad. It smells bad. But I smell it all the time because I’m obsessed with nail color. The hubs dislike this as he can’t stand the smell. Neither can the doggins. Too bad, so sad.
You see, I’m a nail biter. I’m not happy about it but it’s one of those things I’ve done forever. But I’ve learned that if I keep my nails painted [and am not as much of a worry wart], I’m less likely to bite. So I’ve been painting polish like a mad woman. My favorite color? “In the Navy” navy blue. I just like the way it looks, I have no other excuse for it. Big fan of dark nail color. That color up there is a maroon/dark purple-ish color that I don’t know if I like. But today, my nails are brown. Nice and neutral. They’ll probably be blue by the weekend.
OK, now is the time to go check out the flickr pool’s photos or click through the challenger roll to see everyone else’s photos. I’m thinking this will be interesting. Next week’s subject is “orange”. With all the construction I have to drive through everyday, I’m thinking orange barrels. Or maybe not.
