Laughter Is The Best Medicine

Friday evening I met up with my friends Nicole and Melanie.  We went to Mojitos and drank mojitos.  It was fabulous.  Shrimp drenched in garlic, gooey cheese spread, fantastic guac and plantain chips… like I said, fabulous.

I tried my best to document the night but that didn’t really happen.  Close quarters + low lighting = not cool for a girl who doesn’t use a flash.  Besides, the other diners would not be a fan of the flash either.  It’s better this way.

I made out with a few shots of Mel, but Nicole… I’m sorry girl.  The pictures I did get of you were only so-so; I blame it on the fact we were so close together and that 50mm makes zooming out impossible without getting up out of my chair. And since your friendship means so much to me, I’m not posting them.

Believe me, it’s better this way.  So let’s make fun of Melanie instead.

This is Melanie.

This is Melanie.

You know Melanie.  We cook together occasionally. Not lately – life gets in the way sometimes.  But we’re going to change that.

And this is Melanie on mojitos.

This girl seriously has one of the best laughs.  She doesn’t hold back.  She isn’t afraid of throwing her head back and losing complete control.  And it’s contagious.  I laugh too.

And we had a lot to laugh about Friday night.  Nicole has just recently moved closer to home (THANK GOODNESS) and she was filling us in on work and her husband and her family and she is hilarious.  She doesn’t hold back either.

This is Melanie on four mojitos.

I kid, I kid.  Well… maybe.  But I love that smile.  Contagious, I say.

  1. Brooke, sometimes you just have to live in the moment and not worry about taking its picture hon.
