Check It Out: Photofocus

I’m a hobbyist when it comes to photography.  I like to experiment with my camera and different settings and subjects.  But it’s all for fun.  For me.  And then I share it with you.

But I know I’m my own worst critic.  “I could have done this differently.  I should have done that like this.  If I had just moved a little, the light would have been better…”  And I’ve noticed that others are the same way.  Why are we so hard on ourselves?  At least we’re trying, right?  That should count for something?

When I opened my Google Reader this morning, there was a post from Photofocus that talks about just that.  And I found it comforting to read.  And I wanted to share it with you in case you weren’t a Photofocus fan yet.

Do You Doubt Your Talent as a Photographer?

The point?  Keep on keeping on!  Don’t let the man – or yourself in this case – get you down.  I double dog dare you to pick up your camera today.
