Remembering…

When the first plane hit, I was in my 8am class in the business school.  I couldn’t believe how full the atrium was when class dismissed, students crowding around the televisions.  I watched the second plane hit.  I was in the sorority house, tuned into the news coverage with a few of my sisters.  Classes were not canceled.  Some teachers were understanding.  Others were not.  Cell phones did not work.  The internet wasn’t much use either.  The day passed by in blur.

I was able to visit St. Paul’s Chapel in New York City this past spring.  The chapel is across the street from Ground Zero.  It was unharmed during the attacks.  These photos are from St. Paul’s Chapel.

So today, we remember.  As we will next year and the following year and the year that follows it and so on.  We will always remember.
